Marshall County to hold wet/dry vote this summer

Marshall County Judge Executive Chyrill Miller signed an order Thursday to hold a wet/dry vote in the county on July 28.

The order says the county clerk’s office verified that a petition filed May 21 requesting the vote contained the number of constitutionally qualified voters required. An announcement from Miller’s office says County Clerk Tim York verified all 3,366 voters.

Miller ordered the local option election on the sale of alcoholic beverages in the county be held July 28.
