New mural going up in local Kentucky city

If you’ve been driving around downtown Mayfield, Kentucky recently you may have noticed some new artwork going up.

Mayor Teresa Cantrell says Rudy Holmes is painting a mural called “Buildings of the Past” on the side of a building at the corner of 7th and South Street.

The work features the city’s iconic water tower in the center.

This is third memorial that Holmes has painted for the city.
