Owner of liquor store robbed outside business

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office need your help finding two men who robbed the owner of a liquor store.

Sheriff Bennie Vick says the robbery happened Tuesday night around 11:00 p.m. at Eastway Liquors located at 1306 East Main Street in Marion, Illinois.

Deputies say two men approached the owner, who was outside the building, showed a handgun, and demanded money.

They then took the store keys from the owner and tried to enter the business but the alarm went off. When that happened, the two suspects ran away.

The owner says the two men were covered so that they couldn’t be identified.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at (618) 997-6541.
