Paving project begins
A contractor began paving a section of Kentucky 80 in the Arlington area of Carlisle County today, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
KYTC spokesman Keith Todd said the crew will be working along a roughly four mile stretch of the highway from just west of the Longgear Creek Bridge east through Arlington to near Hopewell Road.
The work is expected to take four to five days to finish, weather permitting. Todd said drivers should be ready to encounter one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.
