11-year-old girl killed in four-wheeler crash

A 11-year-old girl died after she crashed a four-wheeler at her family’s home.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Department says Sydney Erwin of the Fancy Farm area died Wednesday night at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says Sydney was riding her four-wheeler in her yard when she lost control, hit a tree, and flipped the four-wheeler over.

She was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

Sydney was wearing a helmet and was riding in the presence of her parents.
