2 children killed in wreck on Western Kentucky Parkway

Police say two children have died in a wreck that also injured a woman on the Western Kentucky Parkway.

Kentucky State Police said 25-year-old Gwendolyn T. Till of Hopkinsville was westbound in Ohio County but crossed the median and collided with an eastbound semi driven by 39-year-old Teddy D. Johnson of East Dongola, Illinois.

Police said Till’s vehicle caught fire on impact, and Johnson put it out with a fire extinguisher.

Till was taken to a hospital after the wreck early Monday. The two passengers in her vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 5-year-old Arzaria Irvin and 3-year-old DeAnthony Till, both of Hopkinsville.

The Messenger-Inquirer in Owensboro said Till was in fair condition at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital on Monday afternoon. Johnson wasn’t injured.
