Kentucky primary nominations certified
The Kentucky State Board of Elections has certified the May 19 primary election vote totals and issued certificates of nomination to winning candidates, the secretary of state’s office announced Monday.
In the announcement, the office said just under 400,000 people, or about 12.6 percent or registered voters, voted in the primary. The Republican and Democrat party nominees that will appear on the Nov. 3 general election ballot are:

The office noted independent, political organization, and political group candidates had to file a statement of candidacy with the secretary of state’s office no later than April 1 and had to file their petitions no later than Aug. 11 at 4 p.m., Eastern time.
