Arrest made in Illinois shooting

Illinois State Police have charged a man with homicide in connection to a shooting death that happened Friday night in Cairo, Illinois.

State police say the victim, 34-year-old Christopher Nelson, of Cairo, was shot around 9:25 p.m. Friday at Cairo’s Jefferson Avenue.He was pronounced dead at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. 

ISP has arrested 18-year-old Marquad Harris in connection with the shooting.
