Stolen storage unit items found, sheriff’s office to hold open house
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says it conducted a search warrant last week related to the incident at a Reidland storage unit facility that left one man dead, one charged with robbery and another charged with murder.
The warrant, which was was conducted June 8 at a Marshall County storage unit, stems from the arrest of Brandon York, who is accused of burglarizing the storage units. The sheriff’s office says it found items that were confirmed as stolen from local storage units, as well as other items matching similar descriptions of several items stolen from storage units over the last several months.
The sheriff’s office says numerous thefts have happened throughout west Kentucky in the previous months, and that York has been a “possible suspect.”
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says it will have an open house where folks can view the items on Thursday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, June 26, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Marshall County Judicial Building at 80 Judicial Drive in Benton, Kentucky.
To view the items, you need to have filed a police report in your local jurisdiction and have a report with you or proof that you own the items.
