Local nonprofit approved to buy old school board building

Tenants and staff at the Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center could have a new place to call home in the future.

Merryman House Executive Director Mary Foley confirmed Thursday night that the McCracken County School Board approved the organization’s request to buy the former school board building on Berger Road.

Foley says the nonprofit has until January of 2016 to secure the money.
