Police looking for man accused of stealing two wallets

Princeton police are looking for a robbery suspect.

Police say Tuesday morning a man dressed in a blue hooded sweatshirt knocked on a door at Linton Way Apartments.

The resident opened the door and the man asked for change for a $100 bill.

The resident got two wallets to see if he could make change. He says when he came back the man pulled a handgun on him and demanded the wallets.

The resident said he fought the man, but ended up losing both wallets. The man then ran away.

Police believe that 18-year-old Dequarius Matchen, also known as D.I., is the man behind the theft.

Matchen is believed to be in the McCracken County area, and has ties to Lyon, Caldwell, and Christian counties.

He is 5’11” and 170 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call their local police department.
