Decision will determine if Dollar General will be built near subdivision

People living in a McCracken County subdivision are upset about a plan they say will affect their property value.

Monday night, the fiscal could will decide whether or not a Dollar General will be built near the Southern Pines subdivision.

The property, off US 45 heading toward Mayfield, is classified rural residential.

The change would make it commercial so the Dollar General can go up.

Supporters say the area already has businesses, but others say they’ll lose the trees currently blocking them from the highway.
