McCracken Dollar General site approved

In a three to one vote, Mccracken County commissioners approved a measure allowing a new Dollar General store to be built along U.S. 45 toward Mayfield.

The decision faced protest from people living in the Southern Pines subdivision, which is adjacent to the proposed site.

Those against it have 30 days to file an appeal with the circuit court’s office.

Commissioner Jerry Beyer cast the only dissenting vote.
