Public invited to participate in Pink Glove Dance

A small but energetic group got together Monday to practicing the choreography for Baptist Health Paducah’s 2015 Pink Glove Dance breast cancer awareness video.

If you think you can learn the easy steps in the video above, you’re asked to join in on the fun this year. The public is invited to participate in the filming of the dance — that will be set to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” — at Baptist Health Paducah on Friday, June 26.

“We keep it easy,” Lindsey Behrendt with Baptist Imaging Center said. “Because A we’re learning it very quickly, and B we have a lot of participants of all ages, all abilities. So, we want to make sure we can include as many people as possible while also making it fun and entertaining.”

Behrendt, who has also coached cheer leading, choreographed this year’s Pink Glove Dance.

Special pink T-shirts will be available on Friday for a minimum donation of $10. Baptist Health Paducah says proceeds from the T-shirts, along with a cookout during the filming, will benefit the hospital’s Your Fight fund for local cancer patients.
