Accident leads to arrest after driver attacks trooper

Police responded to a crash in Carlisle County Monday night, which then led to an arrest.

Kentucky State Trooper Paul Hale responded to a wreck at Kentucky 80 and CR 1207.

Hale arrested Danny Malady for suspicion of driving under the influence.

While attempting to put Malady in the back of his cruiser, Malady kicked Hale.

Hale used pepper spray to stop Malady.

Malady was then examined to EMS and taken to Ballard County Jail.

He faces multiple charges.

Trooper Hale was not injured.
