Paducah man charged with running away from police on ATV

A Paducah man was arrested after allegedly running away from police on an ATV.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department say a deputy was called to the Woodlawn Mobile Home Park in the Farley community around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday on complains that a loud ATV was driving recklessly through the park.

The deputy saw the ATV an attempted to make a traffic stop.

The man on the ATV, 40-year-old Albert Lester Taylor III, sped away and led the deputy on a short chase on Hovekamp Road and Yarbro Lane.

Taylor then got off the road and went into a wooded area. He then tried to hide the ATV behind a home on Meacham Lane and ran away on foot.

Deputies were able to find Taylor a short time later behind a home on Homewood Avenue.

He was arrested and charged with fleeing and evading police motor vehicle, driving DUI suspended license, failure to notify DOT of address change, reckless driving, operating an ATV on roadway, and disregarding a stop sign.

Taylor was taken to the McCracken County Jail. The ATV was seized and taken to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.
