A Paducah man was arrested for allegedly assaulting another man.

The Paducah Police Department says an officer was dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of Burnett Street on reports of an assault.

The officer says the resident, 52-year-old Fredrick Bolen, told him that 41-year-old Marlon Brown had accused him of stealing his wallet and beaten him with a belt and a broom handle.

Bolen was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

Investigators found Brown and interviewed him. Brown admitted to assaulting Bolen.

He was arrested and charged with assault. Brown was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
