KSP investigating deadly home invasion

Kentucky State troopers from Madisonville are investigating a home invasion and homicide.

Todd County deputies were called to the home of Amos and Marjorie Yoder on Old Trenton Road in Elkton Sunday morning.  KSP later became involved after they received a call that family members found the Yoders inside the home.  79 year-old Amos Yoder was dead and his wife, 75 year-old Marjorie, had serious physical injuries.

She was taken to Logan Memorial and later flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment.  Mr. Yoder’s body was taken to Louisville, Kentucky for an autopsy.

Kentucky State Police are being assisted by the Todd County Sheriff’s Department and the Todd County Coroner’s Office.
