Work on Ohio River “Shawneetown” bridge to begin this week

Due to delays, work on the Ohio River bridge at Shawneetown, Illinois that was planned for last week, is now happening this week.

Drivers should expect lane closures and load width restrictions along the bridge.

Vehicles wider than 10 feet will not be allowed to cross.

A ferry is being provided to accommodate wide farm equipment.

The ferry service runs from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
