Work ramping up on new Eggners Ferry Bridge

Drivers who frequently use the Eggners Ferry Bridge may run into lane restrictions for the next month.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it is ramping up work on the new bridge.

That will require lane restrictions on the existing bridge.

This week, lane restrictions are planned through Thursday. The lane restrictions should start at 8:00 a.m. and be in place for about 12 hours each day.

Crews will be using the closed lane to pour concrete for the new bridge.

Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
