Two injured in head-on collision

A head-on collision between two vehicles left one truck in a ditch and sent two people to the hospital, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded to the wreck at the intersection of North Friendship Road and Seneca Lane around 3:55 p.m.

The sheriff's department said Derrick Kearney and passenger Sarah Brokaw, both of Paducah, were headed north in a 2013 Chevy Silverado on North Friendship when Kearney lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

The truck collided with a southbound 2011 Chevy Silverado driven by Robert Snow, also of Paducah. The sheriff's office says because of the force of the collision, Snow’s truck went into a ditch along the southbound lane. Snow was freed from the vehicle by emergency personnel.

Snow and Brokaw were taken to Baptist Health Paducah for injuries the sheriff's department said were non-life threatening.
