Clean up begins in Paducah after flash flooding

Clean-up efforts continue in Paducah as strong storms cause flash flooding, stranding people in their cars and homes.

Many streets were covered with water and some, like this one, were closed due to the flooding.

Doppler radar estimates up to 5 inches of rain fell in the area, over a short period of time, causing the flash flooding.

As always, “turn around, don’t drown.”  Your car can become stranded or even swept away, if you attempt to cross a water-covered road.
