US 68 reduced to one lane in McCracken Co. due to broken power pole

A portion of US 68 in McCracken County has been reduced to one lane due to a broken power pole.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says a truck hit a pole near the Southern Pride Truck Stop.

The driver, 64-year-old James Pearson of Calvert City, told deputies he thought he blacked out. He was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.

The road will be reduced to one lane while crews replaced the damaged pole. That work is expected to take several hours.
