Local sheriff’s office mourning loss of K9

A local Sheriff's Office lost one of their K9 dogs.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office says K9 Kwinta died of what appeared to be heat exhaustion on Tuesday.

Kwinta was a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois. She had been working at the Sheriff's Office since 2013.

Kwinta helped with narcotic investigations. Her handler was Deputy Johnny Smith.
