Wanted man found in trunk of car
A Paducah man wanted in connection with a burglary was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.
Multiple firearms, as well as ammunition, electronics, cash, jewelry, and other valuables, were taken in the July 9 home burglary, and investigators said stolen items were found with another suspect who was arrested on July 10.
The second man wanted regarding the theft, 23-year-old Michael Wright, was seen by sheriff's detectives getting into the trunk of a car Thursday, July 16, according to the sheriff's department. Deputies then spotted the car driving north on Lone Oak Road before it pulled in behind the K-Mart there.
Deputies stopped the car and, the sheriff's department says, found Wright in the trunk. Wright was interviewed at the sheriff's department before he was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
Wright was charged with first degree burglary, and the sheriff's department says additional charges will likely be made.
