Deputies say car seats helped protect children in rollover accident

Five people, including 3 children were sent to the hospital after their SUV rolled over.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department say the SUV was traveling in the 2500 block of Said Road when for an unknown reason the driver went off the road.

She tried to correct the vehicle and ended up going in a skid, causing the SUV to rollover.

All three children were in car seats, which helped prevent them from being injured.

All five people were taken to a local hospital for precautionary reasons.
