Former teacher to appear in McCracken County court

Former Reidland Middle School teacher Chelsea Rose will be back in a McCracken County courtroom Tuesday.

She faces charges in McCracken and Marshall counties after deputies say she had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

Rose was arrested in February and later resigned from the McCracken County school district. She is pleading not guilty.

Rose had a status hearing in Marshall County Monday morning, but it was moved to Aug. 17 because of the court hearing in McCracken County.

The commonwealth attorney said they expect Rose to reach an agreement in Marshall County.
