Names released in fatal wreck

The coroner's office in Franklin County, Illinois, has released the names of those involved in a fatal motorcycle crash that happened Saturday night

A man was hospitalized and a woman died as a result of the wreck, between a motorcycle and a tractor pulling a hay baler.

Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler said the driver of the motorcycle, 50-year-old Steven Bailey of West Frankfort, Illinois, was flown to an Evansville Hospital. Leffler said at last report from Bailey's family the man was to have surgery today on a broken ankle. He also suffered head trauma, but is expected to make a full recovery.

The passenger on the motorcycle, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was 45-year-old Tricia Ann Bailey of St. Peters, Missouri. Leffler said the woman died as a result of multiple blunt impact trauma.

The driver of the tractor, 57-year-old Danny McClerren, of West Frankfort, was uninjured in the wreck, Leffler said.

The coroner said the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it hit the rear tire of the hay baler.
