Sheriff’s office investigating fatal wreck

The Franklin County, Illinois, Sheriff's Office said it is investigating a two-vehicle wreck that happened Monday, resulting in the death of a 13-year-old boy. 

The wreck happened at 4:25 p.m. Monday on Camp Hope Road and Kettermen Lane. The sheriff's office said it involved an off-road motorcycle driven by the 13 year old and an ATV driven by a 16-year-old boy. Both boys were taken from the scene by ambulance. 

The 13 year old was airlifted to an area hospital, the sheriff's office said, where he died as a result of his injuries.
