Post Office In Almo, KY Closed

The United States Postal Service suspended service in Almo, Kentucky today. Spokesman David Walton tells Local 6, employees smelled sewage and noticed a spongy feeling to the floor. Walton says that might mean mold. They will spend the next few days trying to find and fix the problem. Walton says there is not a time-line to reopen the post office.

The Almo branch has 38 post office box customers. Those boxes have been moved to the post office in Dexter, Kentucky. Walton wants to remind you they offer free street service in the area. If you'd like to sign up for that service, call the post office in Murray.
