Man dies after being found unconscious at party

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office is investigation a death after a man was found unconscious at a party.

The Sheriff's Office says they were called to the 200 block of Fiddlebow Road in Dawson Springs around 2:30 a.m. Sunday on reports of an unconscious man.

42-year-old Joey Pleasant of Central City, Kentucky, was found and taken by ambulance to Baptist Health.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Sheriff's Office says Pleasant was at a party at the Dawson Springs home and was involved in an altercation before his death.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Louisville.
