Planned power outage scheduled for this weekend

There are two power outages planned in August for customers of the Hickman-Fulton Counties Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation.

The outages will be on Saturday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 15th.

They will affect members of the Hickman Substation. This includes members in Fulton County, south of the highway 239 and highway 1127 intersection towards Cayce, and highway 94 east of Cayce to highway 781 south to the Tennessee state line. All members west of this boundary will be impacted by the outages.

The outages will start at 11:30 p.m. and could last up to four hours.

The Tennessee Valley Authority needs the power outages to upgrade two switches.

If you are uncertain if you are affected by the outages, call 1-800-633-1391.
