Police arrest three, looking for fourth person in connection to shooting at Noble Park

Police are looking for a man wanted in connection to a robbery and shooting Thursday night at Paducah's Noble Park.

The Paducah Police Department says officers were called to Shelter 20 on the northside of Noble Park around 8:17 p.m. on reports of shots fired. They found 23-year-old Jonathan Riley with a gunshot wound to his ankle.

Police say Riley had gone to the park to buy drugs from 19-year-old Austin Cunningham. Riley told detectives that a car pulled up and Cunningham and 18-year-old Ellas Mobley got out and demanded money from him.

Riley says Mobley pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, one of which hit him in the ankle.

Cunningham and Mobley then ran back to their car and started to drive away when it stalled. Riley says he ran after them and started beating on the car. He says 20-year-old James Burlingame then began shooting at him from inside the car.

Cunningham, Mobley, Burlingame, and a 17-year-old girl who was in the car then ran away towards a wooded area of the park.

Officers began searching the park. Using K9 units, they were able to track the suspects to the area of 32nd and Trimble Streets.

Burlingame and the juvenile were found on Cairo Road near Potter Street.

Cunningham was found hiding in some bushes at Baptist Health Paducah.

All three were arrested. Burlingame and Cunningham were taken to the McCracken County Jail. The juvenile was taken to the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.

Burlingame was charged with wanton endangerment and robbery. Cunningham was charged with robbery. The juvenile was charged with complicity to robbery.

Police are still looking for Mobley. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at (270) 444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.

The incident happened just before Movies in the Park was set to begin and the park was evacuated. The park has been reopened to the public.
