Hogancamp running for Kentucky House seat

Joni Hogancamp, co-owner of Caring People Services LLC in Paducah, announced Thursday that she's filed a letter of intent to run for the third district in the Kentucky House of Representatives.

She filed her letter of intent Thursday to run as a Republican candidate against Gerald Watkins.

“As a business owner who serves McCracken County residents in their homes, I have seen how our government’s policies and regulations are costing us jobs, while the living costs continue to rise,” Hogancamp said in her announcement. “When elected, I’ll work to pass pro-growth policies that expand opportunities for Kentuckians who are struggling.”

Caring People Services, LLC provides non-medical services for individuals in the Purchase area, including veterans. Hogancamp said it employs more than 80 caregivers who help clients remain independent in their own home.

Hogancamp has been involved in the McCracken County Republican Women’s Club for several years as secretary and then president for two separate terms. Her announcement also detailed her involvement in the community, including with St. Nicholas Free Family Clinic and United Way of Paducah-McCracken County. To read the full announcement, click here
