MCPS board votes to raise taxes

The McCracken County Public Schools Board of Education has voted to raise your taxes.

The members voted unanimously for one of two options.

They’re raising rates at the compensating rate of 52.4 cents on $100 of real and personal property taxes. That means on a $100,000 home you’ll pay $29 more a year.

We have someone at the board meeting, and we’ll have more details on their decision tonight on Local 6 at Ten.
