Woman wanted in Union County in custody

The Union County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois says a woman wanted on a charge of failure to stop after a car accident is now in custody. 

The sheriff’s office says 27-year-old Michelle Hamel-Baker was wanted on a charge of failure to stop after an accident involving a personal injury and a charge of driving with a suspended license. 

The sheriff’s office had appealed to the public to help locate the woman, and said in Thursday’s announcement that it wanted "to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter."
