Two Drowned, Two Missing After Boat Capsizes Off Dam
Two people are dead after a boat capsized over a dam on the Ohio River.
McCracken County Sgt. Darrin Frommeyer tells us Frank Rosario, 40, and Emma Strawser, 4, were killed. Two women were rescued from the water. They told investigators that Rosario was taking them and two others for a boat ride shortly after eight last night.
They say less than 30 minutes in to the ride the boat went down into the dam and capsized, throwing the six people on board into the water.
Rescue crews are still searching for Tina Rodriguez, 40, and Xavier Lopez, 2.
The boat has not been found. It is described as yellow and about 12-16 feet long.
Deputies say they believe none of the occupants were wearing life vests.
UPDATE 11:15 p.m.: Sheriff Hayden tells us a grandmother and a 2-year-old are missing from the incident in which a boat went over a dam in Brookport Illinois.
The number of people who were originally in the boat is uncertain at this time.

The sheriff’s department says possibly six people in a boat went over Dam 52 at Brookport. Sheriff Jon Hayden says two people have drowned. Four people survived.
