Deal reached for Jackson County Ambulance Service

The Jackson County Ambulance Service voted to ratify a new deal.

Jeremy Noelle of AFSCME Council 31 says the four year deal will give paramedics an 8% raise over four years.

They will receive a 3% raise the first year, that way paramedics can receive a larger cash bonus for the back pay for working the past year and a half without a contract.

The deal came hours before a deadlock vote that could have resulted in a strike.
