Lane restriction on I-24 for erosion repair

Westbound Interstate 24 traffic will be reduced to one lane near Paducah Exit 3 for KY 305/Old Cairo Road so that crews can work on the entry ramp.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the 5 inches of rain that fell in early July caused major flood damage to the embankment along the ramp extension.

The lane closure will allow crews to repair the erosion damage, as well as put in curb, gutter, and concrete waterways to better protect the road and embankment from erosion.
