Paducah city commission approves proposals for new downtown hotel

There is more progress in bringing a Holiday Inn to downtown Paducah.

At Tuesday night’s city commission meeting, city leaders approved two proposals made at their previous meeting.

First, to allow the hotel developer to borrow up to $12 million from Independence Bank.

In addition, the city will allow the hotel developer, Lingate Hospitality, to borrow the former site of the Executive Inn for $1 per year as an additional parking space.
