Driver in Tuesday wreck succumbs to injuries

Kentucky State Police say a man who was ejected from the car he was driving in a wreck in Trigg County Tuesday has died from his injuries.

KSP says 22-year-old Derrick Bacon of Cadiz was pronounced dead at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bacon was headed southbound on Maple Grove Road on Tuesday when, KSP says, the vehicle entered a ditch. It traveled more than 200 feet before re-entering and crossing the road and hitting an embankment on the east side of the roadway.

The car rolled multiple times, ejecting Bacon before coming to a stop in a field. On Tuesday, KSP reported that three passengers with Bacon in the car were injured, but they were able to exit the car under their own power.
