Lane restriction near mall in Paducah Saturday

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a contractor plans to work along the westbound lanes of Hinkleville Road near the New Holt Road intersection in Paducah on Saturday.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the contractor plans to construct a new curb and gutter for the New Holt Road/Olivet Church Road connector. Westbound traffic at the site will be moved to the left-hand lane to allow construction work along the driving lane.

The work zone is in the Kentucky Oaks Mall Area and Todd says it’s expected to begin around 6 a.m. Saturday. The work zone is expected to come down by about 11 a.m. Westbound drivers should watch for slowing and merging traffic as they near the work zone.
