Charleston, MO police investigate two shootings

CHARLESTON, MO – Police in Charleston, Missouri are investigating two shootings that happened within 30 minutes of each other Sunday morning,

The first happened at around 3:30.

Officers found two people, a 17 and 23-year-old, who had been shot in the area of 10th and Helena Street.  They were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Then around 4:00 another shooting was reported near the intersection of Gail and Walhausen Streets.  Officers say two vehicles were struck, but no victims or witnesses have come forward.

An investigation is ongoing.
