Month long drug investigation leads to arrest

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says they have arrested a man on drug charges after starting an investigation five weeks ago.

The Sheriff’s Office says they received complaints from White Plains residents of suspected drug trafficking at 4474 Greenville Road.

On Tuesday, detectives searched the home and arrested 34-year-old Jonathon Duncan.

Detectives say Duncan had possession of several different types of prescription medications he was not prescribed including Dilaudid, Diazepam, and Suboxone strips.

Detectives also found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of cash.

Duncan was charged with trafficking in controlled substance in the first and third degrees, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to the Hopkins County Jail.
