Road closure planned in Calloway County

A contractor plans to close Coldwater Road (part of Kentucky 774) in Calloway County starting Monday, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says Coldwater Road will be closed at the west edge of Murray so a large storm drain can be installed across the roadway as part of ongoing work to widen Kentucky 121.

Todd said Coldwater Road, which carries traffic into the northwest corner of the Murray State University Campus from KY 121, is expected to stay closed for about three days for the roadwork.
