Suspect in deadly Murray shooting now facing murder charge

A man charged with manslaughter in a deadly shooting in Murray, is now facing murder charges.

Tearron Sherrill appeared in court on Friday.

He was originally charged with second degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence in the shooting death of 18-year-old Jamel Al-Shubili.

On Friday, the Calloway County attorney amended the manslaughter charge to murder.

Al-Subili was shot Wednesday night.

Police say he died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Bond for Sherrill was set at $500,000.
