Flags to be flown at half-staff in Kentucky in honor of Air Force officer

Flags will be flown at half-staff in Kentucky on Friday in honor of a Kentucky Air Force Officer.

Governor Steve Beshear ordered the flags to be lowered in honor of 27-year-old Captain Matthew Roland of Lexington.

Roland died of wounds he received August 26 when the vehicle he was traveling in was attacked near Camp Antonik, Afghanistan.
