Charge reduced from murder to manslaughter in shooting death of Mayfield teenager

The man accused of shooting and killing Mayfield teen Jamel Al-Shubili is now charged with manslaughter.

Tearron Sherrill waived his preliminary hearing on Friday.

He was originally charged with second degree manslaughter, which was upgraded to murder. The charge has now been amended back to manslaughter.

Sherrill is scheduled to return to court on October 12.
