Free child seat check being held on Saturday

Illinois State Police are hoping parents will take advantage of a free child seat safety check this weekend.

Illinois State Police District 13 is partnering up with the Benton and West City Fire Departments to host a seat check Saturday at the Benton Fire Department located at 107 North Maple Street in Benton, Illinois.

Anyone can come to the event and have their car seats inspected and install properly for free.

The event runs from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
