Man arrested and charged in connection with East Cape Girardeau, IL shooting

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting in Illinois.

On September 13, a man was shot in East Cape Girardeau near Illinois Route 146.

Police have been looking for four suspects in a pickup truck since then.

The men were seen arguing with the victim before he was shot.

The victim is expect to survive.

On Saturday, September 19, Cape Girardeau, Missouri police arrested 29-year-old Merced Martinez in connection to that shooting.

He was charged with attempted murder and will be extradited to Illinois.
